Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) is hard for everyone at first, just like everything else. For instance, if you’ve never cooked before or you have never played guitar before, trying to come up with a Michelin-starred dish or with a Grammy-worth song you might need to spend years and years of studying and practicing how to cook or how to play the guitar.
With engineering the same happens, if you want to build a website or send a rocket to The Moon, you will need years and years of studying and practicing. Eventually engineering becomes “less hard” and it’s very (mentally) stimulating!

      Hi Isabel,

It is not hard, it is enjoyable. Because you find solutions to real problems that people face with even during their daily life! When you find something to solve any issue, you feel yourself proud!

it might be harder for some people than for others, and some people might find different types of engineering are harder than others, but if you enjoy it then all it takes is some extra focus and you can do it. Engineering is full of problems and challenges, but those are fun challenges and its really rewarding to solve them.

Hi Isabel, it didn’t happen in the blink of eyes, it happens gradually. step by step, before you notice it, you’ve already become an engineer. so if you’re interested, learn the knowledge and enjoy the journey.

It can be sometimes, especially when you need to learn something new quickly, But don’t give up. It is just a process of studying, as we’ll do all the time in our life.
