      Not with Perseverance but with the other rovers, and the base technology is the same, just improved. Most missions are in the planning process for 20-30 years, even if the public only know about them when they’re going to launch, so quite often the same base technology is used, but with the most recent advances. That’s why software is so important. As it can be sent up last, the latest advances can be included.
