      Hi Aoife!
I’m actually really new to engineering – I only started my engineering degree about 6 months ago, so I am still working on the only engineering project I’ve ever done (so far). The hardest part about my project is coming up with new ideas that will give good results!
For my project, I have to improve a material that can be used to coat a metal implant which will help heal bones after they break. There are so many possible ways I could improve this coating – it can be difficult and overwhelming to know what ideas I should try! To deal with this, I read about what other scientists and engineers have done to create good coatings, and this can give me inspiration.
