      Hi Laurenk!
I am a research scientist and doing PhD in Physics now. My research is in Biophotonics. Physics has always been my favorite subject. It inspires me because it can explains the reason behind almost every physical phenomenon. But my research has always been very vast. Earlier in my graduation, I did research on magnetic materials. During my MS I worked on improving hardness of Aluminum alloys for aerospace applications. Later on I started a research on Anodic aluminum oxide membrane for dialysis. from that I developed an interest to use my physics knowledge for the biological application. Biophotonics is a multidisciplinary field and it is really very fascinating. So, I went to biophotonics because I like physics and I wanted to use my knowledge in medical applications. Biophotonics combines both of them. and in this we look for biological applications of light. for example, I am doing a research on diagnosing the cancer in early stages but non invasively just by using the light. I like this field, It inspires me and you enjoy your work more if you like it.
